I am a huge fan of dice placement board games and especially engine building games like Steam Punk Rally from Roxley games. Tungaru looks like it will satisfy that itch.
Each player will assign leaders to their communities and will be able to activate their abilities using their dice. The leader you play will only stay in your community for the round before being moved to an opponents board at the beginning of the next round.
Dice can be placed on either the game board or leader cards to produce resources, attract nomads, trade with islanders and more.
Nomads will allow you to place dice on their card to activate even more abilities. These abilities include collecting resources, dice manipulation, and converting resources to points. They’re only a few slots for nomads on your board so deciding which abilities you want to keep is key to victory.
With beautiful art and a fun pacific island theme; the Tungaru board game is shaping up to be an awesome game. It plays 2-5 players and take approximately 60-90 minutes to play.
From the Campaign:
Tungaru is an engine-building, resource-management and dice-placement Euro. With stunning art by Andrew Bosley (Everdell, Tapestry, The River), seamless game design from the minds of Louis & Stefan Malz (Rococo), and outstanding component quality, all at a fantastic price, Tungaru is a must-have for any Euro game fan.
The campaign is already funded with a couple of weeks left to go.
The campaign is now over, but you can still Pre-order from their site!
